Christopher MachielseChristopher Machielse is an undergraduate student working towards a Bachelor of Business Administration at the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business. He is expected to graduate in May 2013.

He most recently interned as a Sales & Marketing Intern in Ford Motor Company’s Customer Service Division, working on developing new marketing programs for the nearly 3400 US Ford and Lincoln stores. He also analyzed nearly 80,000 rows of data using an arsenal of PivotTables, macros, and intense laser focus.

Previously, Christopher has also interned at LectureTools Inc., an Ann Arbor tech startup that aims to revolutionize large lectures in higher education. Among other tasks, he discussed educational technologies on the LectureTools Blog and on the company’s Twitter.

Christopher also serves as the External Team Director for The Detroit Partnership, a student organization dedicated to building connections between the Ann Arbor and Detroit communities. He leads a team of U-M students who primarily focus on recruiting volunteers for the DP’s many weekly and one-time programs via social media, student organization festivals, and on-campus advertising.

Christopher currently lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he spends his free time exploring the Nichols Arboretum, cheering on some of U-M’s many varsity sports teams, and tinkering around with websites and gadgetry.
